SCAT - 2215 is used for hydrogenation of triglycerides with low free fatty acid content to low I.V’s at rapid speeds to manufacture products such as stearic acid. SCAT – 2215 is used for complete hydrogenation of palm stearin and triglycerides before splitting and distillation for the production of stearic acid.

This is a high activity, highly dispersed promoted Nickel Catalyst, on a siliceous support, protected in fully hydrogenated refined oil, produced by a dry reduction process.

Suhans Dry reduced Nickel Catalyst grade SCAT –2215, is a rugged warhorse, exhibiting fast hydrogenation speeds to low I.Vs.  A combination of Regulated particle size, promoter and support ensures –

·     Good Filtration Characteristics.

• Nickel - 21+/- 1 %
• Siliceous Support – 7 +/- 2 %
• Balance - Fully hydrogenated refined Vegetable Oil
